Time really is flying, especially for us over here at Sea2See. 2017 has been an amazing year for us and we’re so excited to see what the future has in store for us. As 2018 quickly reached us, so did China’s refusal to continue being the world’s landfill. January 1st came and went and worldwide, governments were not prepared for the effects this decision would have. China had been responsible for processing more than half of the world’s exported waste. Places like Calgary in Canada sent almost 100% of their recyclables to China and had no backup plan in place. During the week of the World Ocean Conference, organized by the United Nations and held in New York, Sea2See had a place. The summit was looking for sustainable solutions to contribute to the conservation of the ocean.
